Stu is 1!

It is hard to believe that it has been one whole year since we brought Stu home from the hospital. We have had SO much fun having him with us that time has just flown by! We love our Stu and are so glad that he is ours!

We had Lydia, Nate, Sarah and Ty come over for dinner and cupcakes for Stu's birthday! We love living so close to them and loved sharing Stu's birthday!

For a B-day cake I want to try making these cupcakes since I knew Stu would not care what I made. They were very yummy but did not look as good as the ones on Picky Palate...mine sunk in in the middle (a lot) but just got filled in with frosting! ~yummy~

Ty Ty is the cutest Happy B-day singer!!

Stu got lots of fun presents and had even more help unwrapping them, as you can see! Thanks goodness he had a good lesson in present opening from two pros just in time for Christmas!
 So, so helpful!
My two handsome boys ready for church! (Notice Stu's shoes, I am in love with them!)

New with Stu!!

Not new...

This is not new but is still going strong, Baby Einstein is the best!

Favorite Spot

Stu loves the computer! Most of the time when I am using the computer if he is not sitting on my lap "helping" he is in the corner playing (a.k.a messing) with whatever he can find.

Hats are AWESOME!!
One morning Mike had his hat on and Stu kept looking at him funny and trying to take his hat..so we got his hat and put it on him and he has been wearing it ever since!

HAIR CUT!!

I finally broke down and cut Stu' s hair. It was cute and curly, but was really long. I can't believe how old he looks now with the cute spiky big-boy hair-do!

Nice and happy...he had no idea what was coming!

Finally!

I have been wanting to make a blog or something to sell the hair bows that I make for a long time, and it finally happened. My sister makes some super cute hair bows too, so we both set up a fun blog to sell them! Take a look and let me know if you want anything!

growing, growing, growing

Stu is growing So fast, and in the last few weeks he has learned a bunch of new things!!

Before Stu could crawl he would get around a little bit by going backwards...only backwards!!

This weekend Mike's brother Jeff came to play and watch conference. So Mike and Stu and Jeff all went swimming, Stu is learning already!!

This is Stu in his cute Church outfit. Thanks Uncle Jake for the Cool tie! Stu is still a crazy jumper, and has started to talk A LOT!!

And FINALLY... Stu is crawling!! He is not very stable or sure about crawling, it looks pretty funny, but he is getting all over the place now!!

New with Stu

Stu is getting so big! Any day now he will be crawling. He really wants to move and get going so I really need to get my cabinets baby-proofed. He also loves to stand, he stands by the edge of the couch but is still wobbly and can almost pull himself up, I am just waiting for the day when I go in to get him and he will be standing up in his crib. Here are some new stu pics.

P.s. I don't know the pictures are so little and all over the place...

2 whole years!

This sunday was our 2 year anniversary! I can't believe it has already been two years, but it does seem like a long time ago that we got married. It's been so fun! I also realized that we have been married as long as a mission and missions have always seemed long to me. Kinda crazy!
Mike has been planning something special for sat. night for a while and he nailed it!! Lydia came and watched Stu and we went to the Salt Lake Temple and then to dinner! It was really nice to go to the Temple, it is not always easy planning a time to go and finding a babysitter. Thanks Lydia!! Then dinner...ok not just dinner, we went to dinner at the Grand American Hotel in their Garden Cafe! It was VERY fancy, as we walked in people were pulling in and having their cars parked by valets, (as we parked in a parking lot with a broken parking meter...which we found out was broken after we paid!!) everyone was dressed up in beautiful fancy outfits! I told Mike good thing we had gone to the temple so that we were dressed up but of course he was way ahead of me, he planned it that way! We had lots of very good food! I think that was the first time I actually got a menu that had "food network" language! Not that I knew what everything meant. It was fun and SO so good!! Mike got an +A on this years anniversary!
This has been an amazing two years! Not often enough do I realize how lucky I am. I am 21 and I have a wonderful husband and the cutest baby ever! We have been so blessed!

I can't believe how fast he is growing! Stu is 8 Months old and..

- He can sit on his hands and knees and bounce back and fourth
- He can last all night without a bottle, most nights. (I foresee a bottomless pit boy!)
- He scrunches his nose and makes sniffing noises! It is so funny!
- He knows that when he hears the door knob sound that his daddy is home.
- He Loves books. (to eat not read)
- He is SO happy and cute whenever he wakes up.
- He likes pickles, grapefruit, and celery!
- He is so much fun to play with and has the cutest laugh! We love our Stu!

Ryan Reunion

I can't believe it is already friday! This week has gone by so fast..(I still have a batch of laundry in the dryer to be folded from Monday!(:)We had such a fun weekend last week and I feel like I have just been trying to get back into the swing of things all week. Thankfully everything I think is back to normal (besides the laundry!) and I can finally post on our Ryan Reunion!

Mike's Family was so nice to come all of the way down here to party so we didn't have to drive this time! It was so nice to have them come to us, and us just sit and wait! (Good thing we have such fun families or the drive every month would start to get old.) But so far we still love going to Idaho and this was just a nice break! We even get to see my family this next week for our Billings (my Mom's side) reunion so we are so excited!

On Friday we "took Stu to the Zoo"! More like we went to the Zoo and pushed Stu in the stroller! But, the thought of taking him to the zoo when he will actually care and notice things is fun. I hadn't been to a zoo in a long time so it was cool to see all of the animals. There was an elephant show with a new baby elephant that was very cute! We also went on a tour of the Humanitarian center which was cool, and then the boys went to a Bee's baseball game and the girls went shopping and watched one of my new favorite movies, Confessions of a Shopaholic! (If you haven't seen it you need to!) On saturday we went on a tour of the Conference center. It was fun to go on top and see things that you can only see with a guide. If you decide to go on a conference ctr. tour anytime soon, get our guide(old and funny!) He was the best! We went cruising past all of the other groups and there tour guides, and he was hilarious, we saw everything we wanted to but it wasn't slow and then up on the roof it was blazing hot so he made it quick! Awesome!! We also drove up to Park City and drove up and OVER the Mountain to come back which was a bit scary...!

Other than that we are just hanging out here in Utah! Sadly we will not be going to Idaho again until after Mike takes the GMAT again on Sept. 1st. He has been very good about studying and takes practice test every saturday. We can't wait until it is done so that we can apply to grad schools kinda of have an idea of where we will be next fall. Mike has been busy at work doing what we hope he will never do again after this job! He is a good sport and works so hard even with some of the wierdos that he works with!
I have been doing a lot of Relief Society stuff and am kept busy trying to keep track of the 3-4 new families moving into our crazy ward every week! But, I do really enjoy my calling, getting to know so many people!
Stu is very busy himself! He is growing so fast I can't believe it. When he lays on his belly he wants to crawl very bad but hasn't found out how to get from his belly yet so he lays on his elbows and then puts his bum in the air standing on his toes!! He is so cute and makes our lives so much better! We love having him and are excited to have you all see him next..he will probably be walking! (0:

4th of July, scrap-booking and a FLOOD

We have been loving this summer! I always thought that Idaho summers were bad and I've heard that Utah summers were a million times worse. Well, It has been SO hot here, but really I haven't noticed any difference, the only thing is that it doesn't cool down at night...which I love! It feels so nice outside at night!

We went to Idaho for the 4th which was so much fun! THe Rexburg parade was fun as usual, It was Stu's first parade and he was not a big fan of all of the sirens and loud noises. We spent some time with both the Ryans and the Jones' and got some family pictures taken! I don't have many pictures yet to post, but my mom has been working hard to burn them all and send them to me since we took so many. I will post more when I get them!

I am so excited to finally get going on my scrap-booking. My sister Lydia gets all of her kids pictures for the year done by every birthday...she is so good! I want to try and copy this goal, but just realized that Stu is 7 Mos. old -that is past half a year and I have a lot to do. So me and Lydia planned a scrap-booking day every week! Every thursday I go over to her house and scrapbook all day! I am so excited at the stuff I am finally getting done! (Like my honeymoon pictures..yes it has almost been TWO years!)

When we got home from Idaho for the 4th we had a nice little surprise! Our garbage disposal had clogged while we were gone and since our sink pipes are connected to the apts. above us when they used there disposal it overflowed into our apt.!! So we came home to wet carpet and lots of STINKY!! I had to wait until the next morning to call for someone to come fix it and before they came it started overflowing all over again! I never knew that the water you wash with and rinse down the drain gets so stinky!! About one minute after it started again I was ready to pack up and go to Lydia's, It stunk SO bad! Thanks goodness the guy came soon! THey finally cleaned it up, fixed the sink and left two giant fans in our front room to dry out the carpet. (pretty sure that our upstairs neighbors were going crazy, because with those fans on I had to turn the T.V. up...a bit!!:)) After the carpet was dry and the guy cleaned the carpet I thought we were done, then yesterday I found all of the cake pans and dishes under my kitchen sink were full of nasty water. (I was wondering why the smell wasn't going away in the kitchen) Hopefully everything is fixed and we are good to go now!! We are so grateful that is all that it was!

Happy Fathers Day!!

I am so grateful for my wonderful Dad who has always been so loving and fun! He has taught me so many, many things and always worked so hard! He is probably the cutest Dad ever too, he re-proposed to my Mom this year on their anniversary!

Now that I am married fathers day is even more fun because I have a great Father-in-law and a husband who is the cutest Dad!! Stu even gave Mike his own card, with added slobber of course! He loves his Daddy!
Thanks to all of the Dads in my life! You are so special!
