4th of July, scrap-booking and a FLOOD

We have been loving this summer! I always thought that Idaho summers were bad and I've heard that Utah summers were a million times worse. Well, It has been SO hot here, but really I haven't noticed any difference, the only thing is that it doesn't cool down at night...which I love! It feels so nice outside at night!

We went to Idaho for the 4th which was so much fun! THe Rexburg parade was fun as usual, It was Stu's first parade and he was not a big fan of all of the sirens and loud noises. We spent some time with both the Ryans and the Jones' and got some family pictures taken! I don't have many pictures yet to post, but my mom has been working hard to burn them all and send them to me since we took so many. I will post more when I get them!

I am so excited to finally get going on my scrap-booking. My sister Lydia gets all of her kids pictures for the year done by every birthday...she is so good! I want to try and copy this goal, but just realized that Stu is 7 Mos. old -that is past half a year and I have a lot to do. So me and Lydia planned a scrap-booking day every week! Every thursday I go over to her house and scrapbook all day! I am so excited at the stuff I am finally getting done! (Like my honeymoon pictures..yes it has almost been TWO years!)

When we got home from Idaho for the 4th we had a nice little surprise! Our garbage disposal had clogged while we were gone and since our sink pipes are connected to the apts. above us when they used there disposal it overflowed into our apt.!! So we came home to wet carpet and lots of STINKY!! I had to wait until the next morning to call for someone to come fix it and before they came it started overflowing all over again! I never knew that the water you wash with and rinse down the drain gets so stinky!! About one minute after it started again I was ready to pack up and go to Lydia's, It stunk SO bad! Thanks goodness the guy came soon! THey finally cleaned it up, fixed the sink and left two giant fans in our front room to dry out the carpet. (pretty sure that our upstairs neighbors were going crazy, because with those fans on I had to turn the T.V. up...a bit!!:)) After the carpet was dry and the guy cleaned the carpet I thought we were done, then yesterday I found all of the cake pans and dishes under my kitchen sink were full of nasty water. (I was wondering why the smell wasn't going away in the kitchen) Hopefully everything is fixed and we are good to go now!! We are so grateful that is all that it was!
