Let me just get on my haircutting soap-box for a minute... WHY CAN'T ANYONE BLEND HAIRCUTS!!!! I mean seriously we all went to beauty school! We all studied from the same book! Why does it seem like I was the only one listening on blending day! To have good blended layers you MUST point cut, you can have the straightest most perfect lines in your haircut and it will look horrible, as much as you straighten it it will never look good. The point isn't straight lines, only the few high-school girls looking for "choppy" layers want to be able to see each layer, other than them you blend away, I mean BLEND away!!
hhuuuuu.... Well as you may have guessed I got my hair cut, and to my discovery; unless I decide to be that super annoying girl that tells the stylist every cut and move to make I am going to have to come home and fix every hair cut for the rest of my life. I don't know I guess Im just picky and like to get what I want on my head and have it blended!! Aparrently that is too much to ask for!! I wish I had Elastigirl arms so I could cut my own hair. Lately I have been missing my long hair but thought I would get my hair trimmed one more time and have it cute short before I start to grow it out. Saturday I went to a girl that I worked with, who I referred all of my clients to, to get my hair trimmed. Well now that growing out process is going to take a lot longer. My hair was a long a-line and is now a very choppy, very short stacked a-line! I got home with my hair wet thinking, "I hope this is cute!" and dried it....it was horrible! Even Mike could tell, his words, "From the side there is a chunk and then a chunk and the back has a huge shelf"! Mike is even getting the words down!! Well I went back to have her blend it better and she tried. I ended up coming home and blending it myself, which was a good thing to discover that with three mirrors and a lot of time I can kind of do it myself. Now I have a lot less hair than I wish I had...Good thing it grows!
I'm so sorry! I think i'd rather just be the annoying girl who tells her what to do. I bet you still look cute with short hair though. Any chance of a picture?
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry...I would tell you that I would do it...but you KNOW what I do to hair!! And that is JUST on boys...I have never even tried girls....I don't think that I want to!! Iam SO sorry!! I am sure that you look great!! And I am with Ashley J. Any chance of a picture??
ReplyDeleteman sorry thats a bummer! ya any pics? maybe not.. but if ya wanna i wanna see the short hair
ReplyDeleteAarrrgghhh! I know what you mean! I haven't had a decent hair cut since a certain niece (you) moved to Utah! I tried cutting my own hair and can do the top and sides and a little of the back but I had to beg husband Dave (a former barber) to cut just the bottom layer across the back. One of these times when you come home, please oh please come to my office/barber shop and give me a decent cut with all those nice layers. :) I miss them!
ReplyDeleteI have been there many many times. I feel your pain ;) I bet you still look adorable though. Maybe I should get a long a-line too. that sounds really cute! ha ha
ReplyDeleteThank goodness we were going to Rexburg so Erin could fix it!
